Lazio captain Lucas Biglia admits his team are still hurting from last season's 4-1 defeat to Roma, as they target revenge on Sunday.
The Derby della Capitale will get underway once more when the Biancocelesti and the Giallorossi lock horns, and Biglia is determined to make up for the crushing defeat last time around.
"It's definitely a different game to the others," he said in a press conference. "We want to win, sometimes we've deserved more.
"The last game is still on our minds, it was a painful defeat. We all have the desire to make up for it.
"It's a special game, we're playing with our city rivals. We'll play with the desire and the organisation that the coach [Simone Inzaghi] asks from us every week.
"He knows this fixture, so he brings us something extra. I've learned that these games aren't over until after the final minute of injury time.
"Often we've deserved to win, but against strong teams you must always be attentive, right up to the final whistle.
"We want to win, the psychological aspect counts as much as the style of play. So far we've achieved good results and we want to do well on Sunday. I have faith in the coach and my team-mates. We can do well."
Lazio haven't won in the derby since the 2013 Coppa Italia final.
