Manchester City have handed midfielder Manu Garcia a new two-year contract with the Premier League club.
The 18-year-old former Astur and Sporting Gijon youth player, who joined the Citizens in 2013, has spent the season on loan in Spain with newly-promoted La Liga side Deportivo Alaves.
The young Spaniard has previously made four senior appearances for City, scoring one goal, against Crystal Palace in a League Cup win in October 2015.
A brief statement from the club read: "Manchester City can confirm that Spanish midfielder Manu Garcia has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the Club until June 2020."
An excited Garcia, meanwhile, confirmed the news on his Twitter account: "Really proud and happy to have signed a new deal with one of the biggest clubs in the world! Seguimos! @mancity #Mcfc."
The City statement continued: "Everyone at Manchester City is delighted to see Manu extend his time with the Club."
