Mourinho expecting tough Spurs test

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes their Premier League match against a resurgent Tottenham Hotspur outfit on Sunday will be "very difficult."

Spurs have endured a difficult couple of months of late, exiting the Champions League and sliding down the Premier League table.

However, they have bounced back in marvelous fashion recently, following up a 5-0 win over Swansea with a 3-1 win over CSKA Moscow to ensure they would qualify for the Europa League and Mourinho expects them to give United a tough game this weekend.

"They are the first team we have played in a few weeks that will try to divide the control of the match with us. The others had to clearly accept our dominance, but that is not Tottenham's style," he said.

"They play really well. They try to be dominant. I think they played a phenomenal first half against Chelsea. This is Tottenham – they are a very good team."

The Portuguese tactician also took time out to praise his opposite number on Sunday, Mauricio Pochettino.

"He is a very good coach and he knows what he wants," Mourinho added. "He has been building the team for a couple of years now.

"A good manager with good players normally makes a good team."
