Liverpool may well have revenge on their mind when they welcome West Ham to Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday, after the Hammers beat them three times last season.
the Reds will be looking to bounce back from a devastating 4-3 defeat to Bournemouth after leading 3-1 with just 15 minutes left on the clock.
Before that disappointing result. the Reds had gone 15 games unbeaten in all competitions and manager Jurgen Klopp will be looking to his charges to return to start another long undefeated run on Sunday.
"You only think what is for sure is that you win these games but not always, and sometimes you lose them, and that was the situation in the Bournemouth game," he said in the pre-match press conference.
"More importantly is how we played around. I think I said it after the game that we played good enough to win the game until it slipped through our fingers. That was wrong judgement, we did the wrong things, we were getting passive – what’s not really usual for us."
West Ham have been in terrible form of late and have no won a competitive match since October. However, manager Slaven Bilic insists he still has the full backing of the club's board.
"We had a conversation like we normally have. I speak to the chairman after every game, a couple of days after the game. It was a good conversation but it wasn’t a meeting."
"I feel the support, I have said it so many times. In the conversation we had, I felt the support. I know what we achieved last season and it is time for us to turn it around."
