AFF Suzuki Cup: Indonesia in numbers

Arnautovic scores in China debut as Shanghai SIPG draw at Chongqing

As we head closer to the final of the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup, we take a look at some telling numbers with regards to Indonesia's campaign.

1582 – The total number of passes the Garudas have made in the tournament so far. This is exactly 1000 below Thailand.

179 – Indonesia's current FIFA ranking.

72 – The number of fouls Indonesia have committed so far this. That is exactly double the amount Thailand committed, giving an indication of how physical the Garuda’s defence is.

68 – Indonesia’ passing accuracy percentage. Again, this is inferior to Thailand but somehow, the Garuda have always found a way to win.

33 – The total attempts on target.

25 – The percentage of possession Indonesia enjoyed when facing Vietnam in the second leg of their semi-final. This team doesn't need much ball to score goals.

11 – The number of yellow cards Indonesia has earned, another indication of their physical nature.

10 – The number of goals Indonesia have scored in the 2016 tournament so far. The dangerous Boaz Solossa is responsible for three of them.

4 – The number of times Indonesia have finished as runners up in the AFF Suzuki Cup. They came closest in 2002, when they lost to Thailand on penalties.

2 – Indonesia have only lost two matches in nine outings since their FIFA ban was lifted earlier this year.
