Stöger: Dortmund are the favourites

Despite having not lost against Borussia Dortmund since 2012, 1. FC Köln coach Peter Stöger believes the Black and Yellows are the favourites for Saturday’s clash.

Since Stöger took over as Köln boss, the Billy Goats have proved to be a thorn in Dortmund’s side, managing three draws and two wins, which represents BVB’s longest winless streak against any Bundesliga opponents.

“We have really worked hard against them in the past,” the Austrian Stöger was quoted by the Bundesliga website on Friday.

“We know that another big performance is possible, because we’ve played very well in previous meetings. But we’ll need to have plenty of solutions if we want to take anything from the game,” said Stöger.

But, despite having done well against Dortmund recently, Köln’s last win at the SIGNAL IDUNA PARK came in 1991.

“My record may be two wins and threw draws against BVB, but touch also have to bear in mind the fact that Köln haven’t won there since 1991,” the 51-year-old conceded.
