Bundesliga hail Werner, Auba and Lewy

Klopp ‘couldn’t care less’ about title talk as he prepares for the FA Cup

The Bundesliga have recognised RB Leipzig's Timo Werner as well as Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and FC Bayern München's Robert Lewandowski for their scoring feats.

Werner managed 21 league goals at the age of 21 which puts him alongside Gerd Muller and Dieter Muller as having achieved such a total at this age.

Meanwhile, Aubameyang won the top scorer award with 31 goals while Lewandowski's 30 strikes is only the second time this has been achieved on two occasions by the same player.

The league said: "Only Gerd and Dieter Muller managed more than 20 goals in a season at Werner's age.

"Aubameyang's final-day double for Dortmund against Werder took the Gabon great to 31 for the campaign, one more than Robert Lewandowski. The Bayern marksman registered 30 for the second successive season.

"Previously, only Gerd Muller managed 30 or more goals in more than two Bundesliga campaigns."
