Lucas Biglia's agent has revealed that the Lazio midfielder is hoping to finalise a deal with Serie A rivals Milan ahead of the new season.
The Argentina international is looking to leave the Biancocelesti after four years in the Italian capital, and has attracted interest from the Rossoneri and the Premier League.
Biglia struggled with numerous injuries last term but still managed 29 appearances in the league as Simone Inzaghi's side finished fifth in the standings to qualify for the Europa League.
However, the 31-year-old's head has been turned by Milan and his representative, Enzo Montepaone, expects negotiations to be concluded next week.
"Lucas talked to Lazio a month ago, declaring his choice to leave Rome," Montepaone was quoted as saying by Il Messaggero.
"There's a deal with Milan and we're waiting for the two clubs to come to a definitive agreement.
"I know they're talking about finding a solution, because there's also an opportunity in England, but I can't say any more about that.
"Milan and Lazio are talking and they have to find a deal, next week I'll be in Italy and hopefully everything will be resolved quickly."
