Tottenham Hotspur have announced the permanent departure of Cameroon winger Clinton N’jie to Marseille.
The talented 23-year-old joined the Premier League side in 2015 after shining for Lyon, but struggled to make an impact during his time at the club, as he went on to feature just a handful of times before being loaned out to Marseille.
N'jie made a total of 14 appearances across all competitions with just one assist for Tottenham compared to 23 matches, four goals and one assist in France last season.
He is also an African champion, having claimed top honours at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon where Cameroon beat Egypt 2-1 in the final.
A statement from Spurs read: "We have reached agreement with Marseille for the permanent transfer of Clinton N'jie.
"The Cameroon international spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan with the Ligue 1 side, making 23 appearances and scoring four goals.
"Clinton joined us in August 2015, from Lyon and made 14 appearances for the Club.
"We wish Clinton all the best for the future."
