Sunday’s Eredivisie round-up

‘It’s so special’ – Klopp on Liverpool as they continue EPL winning streak

Feyenoord made it two wins from two Eredivisie games in the defence of their title as Willem II sunk to a second successive defeat.

The champions had Jean-Paul Boetius to thank for his 18th minute striker that secured their 1-0 win over Excelsior at the Van Donge & De Roo Stadion.

Ajax eased to a 3-1 win over Groningen with goals from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (38) and Hakim Ziyech (48) before a third from Lasse Schone 79 made Oussama Idrissi's 73rd minute effort a mere consolation.

Elsewhere, Utrecht secured their second win with a 2-0 defeat of Willem II thanks to a second minute opener from Zakaria Labyad that was followed up five minutes later by Cyril Dessers.

And while Sparta Rotterdam were held to a 1-1 with PEC Zwolle, PSV had no troubles seeing off NAC Breda 3-1.

Robert Muhren (23) cancelled out Youness Mokhtar (13) to at least secure a point for Sparta, as Thierry Ambrose briefly got NAC back in their tie with a 41st minute penalty to level the score after Steven Bergwijn's 17th minute opener.

But Marco van Ginkel put PSV ahead on the hour mark before Hirving Lozano's 69th minute goal, while Jorrit Hendrix made sure of all three points with his 87th minute effort.
