Zappacosta answers Italy call

Roberto Martinez ‘lạc quan’ dù tình hình nhân sự của tuyển Bỉ thiếu hụt trầm trọng

Davide Zappacosta is back in the Italy squad ahead of their World Cup qualifier with Israel on Tuesday.

The new Chelsea defender was drafted in as an emergency replacement by head coach Giampiero Ventura after Leonardo Bonucci picked up a booking in the 3-0 defeat to Spain on Saturday.

Leonardo Spinazzola also suffered a late injury while Giorgio Chiellini was already absent from the side.

The 25-year-old former Torino right-back, who joined the Blues on transfer deadline day, has four international caps, including two in the current qualification campaign that sees Italy second in Group G, three points adrift of leaders Spain.
