Swansea City full-back Angel Rangel has urged his teammates to turn the Liberty Stadium into a fortress this season, starting with a win over Newcastle.
Manager Paul Clement's charges finished last season with an impressive run of results at home which helped them stave off relegation, and Rangel wants to replicate that form.
The Swans lost their opening home game of the season 4-0 against a rampant Manchester United side last month, but Rangel believes they can bounce back against the Magpies on Sunday.
“We have made a decent start to the season, but we want to get some points on the board at home,” the 34-year-old told the club's official website.
“At the end of last season we won six of our last eight home games, so we know we can make the Liberty a fortress.
“The fans will be buzzing with excitement after the signings of Renato Sanches and Wilfried Bony, so hopefully we will be on seven points at the end of the day.”
