Saturday’s Eredivisie round-up

There were plenty of goals in Friday night's Eredivisie action as ADO Den Haag, Feyenoord, Ajax and Vitesse all won.

Abdenasser El Khayati opened the scoring for Den Haag from the penalty spot on 32 minutes, and was on hand with an 86th minute winner after Fran Sol's 77th minute equaliser to hand his side a 2-1 win over Willem II away from home.

Heracles suffered a 4-2 home reverse to Feyenoord, with Steven Berghuis (22, 29) kicking off the goalscoring before Jean-Paul Boetius (33) appeared to put the game out of sight.

Reuven Niemeijer (73, PG 81) had other ideas as he pulled two goals back, but Sam Larsson made sure of the points with his goal in stoppage time.

Ajax had no troubles seeing off PEC Zwolle 3-0 with goals from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (6, 88) and Hakim Ziyech (71), while Excelsior lost by the same scoreline to Vitesse where Luc Castaignos (45), Tim Matavz (PG 53) and Brian Linssen (74) were all on target.

Feyenoord ended the evening on top of the standings, with Ajax in fourth, Vitesse in third, Zwolle in fifth, Heracles in 10, Excelsior in 12, Den Haag in 13th, and Willem II bottom with zero points.
