Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare has been impressed by the way Vicente Oborra has started to adapt to the rigours of English football.
The 29-year-old midfielder signed for the Foxes from Sevilla in the off-season but is yet to make his Premier League debut for the club, due to a groin injury.
However, the Spaniard played his first 90 minutes in the 2-0 EFL Cup win over Liverpool last week, and Shakespeare was pleased with what he saw from Iborra.
“He is slowly getting used to the game over here. He has got sharper in training and is moving the ball quicker. We have encouraged that,” Shakespeare told the Leicester Mercury.
“I think the intensity has taken him by surprise. He is very much a team player in the mould of (Japanese forward) Shinji Okazaki. He is willing to adapt.”
