Silva: Chalobah injury is a blow for Watford

Messi denies wanting to leave Barcelona despite lack of Champions League success

Watford manager Marco Silva admits Nathaniel Chalobah's knee injury is a bitter pill for the club after his impressive performances this season.

The 22-year-old suffered the injury during training and is now set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines as he will require surgery on the affected knee.

The defensive midfielder joined the Hornets from Chelsea in the off-season and has been involved in five of the club's six Premier League games thus far.

"It is difficult news for us," Silva said at a press conference in the build-up to Saturday's clash with West Brom.

"It is a pity to us as a team and most of all a pity for the boy, but this is football.

"Now is the moment we need to support him and put him in good condition to help him return as soon as possible.

"It is a difficult situation, (but) we need to find a solution, to be strong and be strong in our way."
