Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne claims he has no qualms after his move to Barcelona fell thorough during the last transfer window.
According to recent media reports, Insigne's agent, Mino Raiola, attempted to engineer a move for him to replace Neymar at the Camp Nou after the Brazilian's world-record transfer to PSG.
However, the Italy international has since revealed it was his decision to remain with the in-form team from Naples after a €100 million bid was lodged.
"I am proud to have stayed here at Napoli," he told Rai Sport. "Barcelona are the best team in the world. I'd love to have played with Messi and Suarez but I am happy in Naples and I've stayed to win trophies.
"When I was younger, Torino and Inter refused to sign because I was too little. Good for me, I've now fulfilled my dream to play for Napoli."
