Adam Lallana says he is recovering well from his thigh injury as Jurgen Klopp ruled out rushing the England international back into action too soon.
The ex Southampton winger has been sidelined the entire season after injuring himself in August but stepped up his recovery with a trip to the Aspire clinic in Qatar.
Clearly in high spirits, the Liverpool man, who was boosted by meeting former Barcelona and Spain star Xavi, posted on his Instagram that he is getting stronger with each day.
He wrote: "Great week stepping up the rehab even further – getting stronger each and every day.
"Added bonus of meeting and chatting to one of my idols as well – Xavi. So down to earth despite being one of the greatest players of his generation."
And speaking just before the international break, Klopp said while he is happy with the progress made by Lallana, he won't be putting pressure on him to return to action.
He said: "He has no problems anymore. We just have to wait until the tendon is a tendon again, if you want. You cannot rush this. But so far, no setbacks and everything is fine."
