Cahill: Luiz ideal tutor for Christensen

Conte leads training ahead first match against Juventus since being appointed Inter manager

Chelsea captain Gary Cahill believes promising young centre-back Andreas Christensen will be able to learn a lot from the experienced David Luiz.

Christensen came into the Blues lineup for Luiz after the devastating 3-0 defeat to AS Roma in the Champions League and helped Antonio Conte's side to a 1-0 win over Manchester United and a 4-0 win over West Brom.

Luiz was reinstated in the back three for the clash with Qarabag on Wednesday, which Chelsea won 4-0, which could give Conte a tough decision to choose between the men for the upcoming clash with Liverpool.

Cahill said, according to the Daily Mail: "David came back in and performed well.

"Andreas is a younger version of him if you like. I feel like David can offer Andreas a lot of help in his progression.

"He has been there and done it at the top, top level, he has won many trophies.

"David is a very experienced defender and Andreas' attributes are very similar. I feel that he [Luiz] can advise him tremendously and he has done up until now."
