With the Azkals having just booked their place to the biggest football event in the continental stage last March 27, come the early hours of April 7, The Malditas (The Philippine Women’s National Football Team) are actually about to begin theirs!
Having made their own history by qualifying last April of 2017 in Tajikistan, they are now scheduled to embark on a trip to Jordan on the 1st of April where the tournament will be held.
In a gesture of solidarity and support within the football community, The Malditas along with the coaching staff and those involved with the program actually made time to watch the historic game of their male counterparts as they beat Tajikistan (see the connection?).
The squad actually just came from their camp in Japan then where they were able to notch positive results in two scrimmages against Japanese teams.
