Felda United with Iain Ramsay continues its immaculate start to the season with a crucial away win in the 1st leg of the Malaysia Cup quarterfinals, while Bangkok United with keeper Michael Falkesgaard bounced back from a previous loss with an emphatic 3-0 win.

Let’s roundup all the results of club teams in Thailand and Malaysia which have Philippine Azkals players in their lineup.

Chiangrai United 1 – 0 Pattaya United

Hikaru Minegishi’s Pattaya United lost in a closely contested match against the home team Chiangrai United.

The goal arrived for the hosts way too early in just the 4th minute as Victor Cardozo heads the ball from a set-piece and into the back of the net.

Chiangrai was able to hold on to the lead for the rest of the match frustrating Pattaya in its search for at least an equalizer.

Despite the negative result, it could be a good outing for Filipino midfielder Hikaru Minegishi who got his longest playing time for his club after being substituted into the game in the 57th minute.

Could sustain the increasing trust of the management to him for the rest of the season?

That we have to find out.

Ubon UMT 1-2 Ratchaburi FC

Former Azkal Mark Hartmann’s 23rd minute goal proved to be a false hope for Ubon UMT as visiting side Ratchaburi came out with a one-two second half combo to reverse the scoreline come fulltime.

The result puts the Ubon Ratchathani-based club in a precarious situation with its fifth straight loss in the current season campaign that could put them deeper within the relegation zone.

Port FC 0-3 Bangkok United

Bangkok United with Azkals’ goalkeeper Michael Falkesgaard got a massive win away from home after an emphatic 3-0 win against the home side Port FC.

It was a much welcome result after a painfully narrow loss in their previous match against Chiangrai United as they aim to improve on their current mid-table position in the league.

PKNS FC 1-0 Perak FA (Malaysia FA Cup Quarter Final 1st Leg)

Misagh Bahadoran’s club Perak FA lost in the first leg away against PKNS.

However the tie is still very much in the balance as the return leg will be in Perak’s home ground with the deficit still very much manageable to overturn.

Misagh did not feature though for his club in this match.

PKNP 0-1 Felda United (Malaysia FA Cup Quarter Final 1st Leg)

Philippines’ winger Iain Ramsay’s club Felda United continues its 100% record on the domestic front after getting a vital away goal and a win against PKNS in the first leg of the Malaysia FA Cup quarter finals.

Thiago Augusto scored the lone goal in the second half as the fighters will be looking to put the tie to rest in their home stadium in about two weeks’ time.
