Kaya Iloilo vs Global Cebu won’t push through

Saudis, UAE, Bahrain to compete at Gulf Cup

Another off the field setback has been confirmed in the Philippines Football League (PFL) as Global Cebu FC won’t be able to travel to Iloilo to face Kaya FC.

The scheduled match-up is supposerd to be Kaya’s inaugural match in their new home, the Iloilo Sports Complex.

Kaya FC released an initial statement via their Facebook page with the club’s general-manager Paul Tolentino providing high level details on how the information was relayed to them.

As for the exact details as to why Global was not able to travel to Iloilo, the club executive can only mention that Global Cebu is “under some struggles”, as to what these struggles are is something that he is in no position to divulge and something that should come from the PFL and Global Cebu themselves.

In lieu of the cancelled match, Kaya will use the schedule to hold a makeshift “meet and greet” with football fans and clinic activities with kids.

Liga Futbol Inc. (LFI), the governing body of PFL and Global Cebu FC have yet to release a statement as of this writing.
