Ander Herrera says he is happy at Manchester United amid talk of reuniting with his former boss Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona.
The Spaniard played under Valverde at Athletic Bilbao before signing for the Red Devils in 2014, having begun his career with Real Zaragoza.
The 27-year-old garnered rave reviews for his performances last season as Jose Mourinho led the club to the Europa League, EFL Cup and FA Community Shield.
Recent reports in the British press suggest that Herrera will sign a new four-year, £41.6million Manchester United contract.
He was quoted while speaking after United's 5-2 friendly win over LA Galaxy when he said: "There is nothing certain about Barcelona because I am very happy at United and I feel valued and focused here."
He also expressed his thoughts on the failed attempts at signing Alvaro Morata.
"Of course I wanted to have Morata as a team-mate, he was very close because the two clubs negotiated," he added.
"Too bad he is not with us, but I wish him well."
