Barcelona have reached a deal with Ajax to sign goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to Sky Sports.
If Barca manage to complete the transfer then it should pave the way for Claudio Bravo’s move to Manchester City, which could see Joe Hart leave the Etihad Stadium.
Cillessen was left out of Ajax’s squad on Saturday in their defeat to Willem II and looks set to join Luis Enrique’s side.
The Catalan club’s technical secretary Robert Fernandez announced on Saturday that they had struck an agreement to sell Bravo to City.
“We have the beginning of an agreement with Manchester City for Claudio Bravo,” Fernandez said.
“We are awaiting events this week. When Claudio leaves, we hope to have a new keeper”
The potential arrival of Bravo in Manchester will almost certainly spell the end for Hart at the club after Pep Guardiola left him on the bench for their opening three matches of the season.
Reports have suggested Everton, Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla have shown an interest in taking the England international.
