ADO seal deal for Johnson

Tigers run on roof as Malaysian giants JDT open new stadium

ADO Den Haag have announced the signing of Norway international striker Bjorn Johnsen from Scottish outfit Hearts for an undisclosed fee.

The towering striker who made his international bow for the European nation this year scored seven goals and registered as many assists in 37 games last season and will now replace fan-favorite Mike Havenaar, who returned to the J-League.

Standing at 1.97m tall, the USA born forward will offer managed Alfons Groenendijk another dimension with his physical presence in and around the area – something which his side lacked during last season.

"I really like this challenge," Johnson said upon his unveiling. "It means a lot for me to play in the Eredivisie at ADO The Hague.

"Many players, like Lex Immers, have broken through here. I want to be important for the team with goals and assists every week.

"I have a positive feeling about what we can achieve next year with ADO Den Haag."
