White Sox cruise past Orioles

Did this Royals-White Sox game provide the WORST first pitch of all-time?

The Chicago White Sox cruised to a 7-1 MLB win over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday after scoring five runs in the fifth inning.

Brett Lawrie hit a home run for the third successive game while Chris Sale became the first White Sox pitcher to win on his first six starts since 2005.

The LA Angels snapped the Texas Rangers’ four-game winning streak with a 9-6 success.

Kole Calhoun drove in two runs, Shane Robinson scored three RBIs and Geovany hit a home run as a team effort set up the win, with four runs coming in the final two innings.

Chris Carter was the star of the show for the Milwaukee Brewers as they ended the Miami Marlins’ seven-game winning run with a thumping 14-5 victory.

Carter hammered two home runs and had three RBIs as the Marlins slumped.

Troy Tulozitzki’s three-run homer led the Toronto Blue Jays to a 5-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays, Hunter Pence drove in three runs, including a homer, for the San Francisco Giants in a 6-1 humbling of the New York Mets and Eric Hosmer’s homer helped the Kansas City Royals end a five-game losing streak with a 4-1 success against the Seattle Mariners.

Scott Schleber scored an RBI double in the 11th inning as the Cincinnati Reds edged the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-5, the same score which the Detroit Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins courtesy of Jarrod Saltalamacchia’s double in the eighth.

The Washington Nationals beat the St Louis Cardinals 6-1, the Atlanta Braves downed the Chicago Cubs 4-3 in the 10th, the Philadelphia Phillies won a low-scoring contest with the Cleveland Indians 2-1 and the Houston Astros also won 2-1 against the Oakland Athletics.
