The Singaporean went down 14-12, 11-8, 11-7 to eighth seed Ai Fukuhara of Japan.

In other results, Ding Ning of China defeated Han Ying of Germany in straight sets.
The top seed will go on to face North Korea’s Kim Song in the semi-finals, who knocked out Yu Mengyu of Singapore.
Third seed Li Xiaoxia made short work of Cheng I-Cheng to book her place in the final four, where she faces Fukuhara.
