Rafael Nadal will face rising star Nick Kyrgios in the third round of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia on Thursday.
The Spanish clay court king was the last man to book his place in round three on Wednesday with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Germany’s Phillip Kohlschreiber.

That set up a third-round encounter with Kyrgios, who notched up his fifth win over a top 10 player this season by beating World No 10 Milos Raonic 7-6 (7-5), 6-3.
The clash between Raonic and Kyrgios was undoubtedly the pick of the second round matches, and once again it was the young Australian who came out on top.
After losing their first two meetings, the 21-year-old has now win three in a row.
Impressively, he is now 5-4 against top 10 opponents this season, with only Novak Djokovic boasting a superior record.
Kyrgios won 80 per cent of his first-serve points and fired six aces during a closely contested encounter.
The first set didn’t feature any breaks, but after snatching the tie-break, Kyrgios twice broke serve in the second set to wrap up the big win.

Earlier in the day, the likes of Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic all advanced to the third round as well.
