Norwich v Swansea

Uruguay 4-0 Thailand: Chanathip Songkrasin in high spirits despite loss

Struggling Norwich City host Swansea City at Carrow Road on Saturday desperate to end a run of five straight defeats in all competitions.

The Canaries made a solid start on their return to the Premier League but have lost their way a bit in recent weeks and now sit perilously close to the relegation zone, just two points above Newcastle United in 18th.

Alex Neil's side came close to grabbing an unlikely point away to Manchester City last time out but a late penalty condemned the club to a disappointing 2-1 loss.

In team news, Jose Jurardo Martin (hamstring) and Joel Ekstrand (knee) remain sidelined but Odion Ighalo is expected to shake off a knock to start the clash.

Swansea, meanwhile, are in a similar slump and have managed just one win in their last eight games in all competitions following last weekend's 3-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Garry Monk will however be boosted by a fully-fit squad to take to Norfolk but may need to shuffle his pack following their poor performance against the Gunners.

The Swans last won at Carrow Road when their current manager was still captaining the South Wales outfit, seven years ago and the Englishman will hope another win will turn their fortunes around.
