Second seed Sun Yu advanced to the semi-finals of the Korea Masters after beating Kaori Imabeppu in her quarter-final on Friday.
The Chinese shuttler needed 56 to beat the Japanese sixth seed, eventually coming through 21-17, 21-13.
In Saturday's semi-final Sun wil take on third seed Bae Yeon Ju, after the Korean dazzled her home crowd with a 21-10, 21-7demolition of compatriot Kim Ga Eun.
In the other semi-final, Japanese fourth seed Sayaka Sato will face China's Shen Yaying.
Sato beat her countrywoman Kana Ito 21-10, 21-18, while Shen beat Chinese Taipei's Chen Hsiao Huan 21-10, 21-9.
