Fiorentina head coach Paulo Sousa is looking for domestic and European success after beating Lech Poznan 2-0 in the Europa League on Thursday.
A brace from Slovenia international midfielder Josip Ilicic saw the Viola past the Polish side at INEA stadion, taking them up to second in their group.
"The team must always play with intensity and give everything it has without limits," the Portuguese coach told Sky Sport Italia.
"It was a very difficult match, as our opponents defended well and tried to hurt us on the counter-attack. Today we saw a team that wanted to bring home the three points with grit.
"We knew it would be tough and that it was essential we keep the right balance. Perhaps we didn't play with the same tempo as usual, partly due to the cold, but we had more shots from outside the box and Giuseppe Rossi always tried to run into space."
The Viola will now turn their attention back to Serie A, where they lead the standings alongside Inter Milan, and face Sampdoria at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris on Sunday.
"Should we choose between Scudetto and Europa League? We want to win always," Sousa insisted. "We intend to grow consistently, bring home points and fight on all fronts."
