Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini earned the praise of manager Maurizio Sarri after his performance in the 5-0 thrashing Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Italian side cruised to victory against their Danish rivals at San Paolo thanks to the 23-year-old's brace along with further goals from Omar El Kaddouri, Christian Maggio and Jose Callejon.
"The goal of the evening was to get the qualification and first place, the boys had a great game," Sarri told Sky Sport. "Those who don't play much in the league did very well, this is very important news for us and a great prospect.
"The opponents tonight were Danish champions. They put out Southampton and have several national team players. Therefore we didn't expect it to be so unproblematic, but they did better in the first leg and they put us in difficulty.
"Manolo is a great forward. When playing as centre-forward he scores regularly. We have to see if our balance allows us to deploy him also as a winger. There was no doubt that he's a great attacker. Now we'll see how the situation develops."
Gabbiadini himself was satisfied with the Partonopei's fourth win in as many Group D games, allowing them to focus on their next Serie A match against Udinese on Sunday.
"We made our path in the Europa League become simple," he said. "We wanted to go through with time to spare, having secured first place, but we will be playing to win in the next game as well."
