Thursday was a successful night for the three Italian clubs doing duty in the Europa League, with Napoli, Fiorentina and Lazio all recording comfortable victories.

Napoli maintained their perfect record in Group D when they hammered Midtjylland 5-0 at the Stadio San Paolo.

Omar El Kaddouri opened the scoring for the hosts in the 13th minute before two goals inside 15 minutes from Manolo Gabbiadini saw Napoli head into the break 3-0 up.

Christian Maggio made it 4-0 on 54 minutes, with replacement José Callejón completing the rout in the 77nd minute.

A brace from Filip Ðordevic helped Lazio to a 2-0 win on the road at Rosenborg.

The Serbian put Lazio ahead in just the ninth minute before doubling his side's advantage 20 minutes later.

Lazio replacement Balde Diao Keita was shown a straight red card in the 83rd minute, but Rosenborg were unable to take advantage of their late numerical advantage, and Lazio held on for the win which sees them remain at the top of Group G.

Josip Ilicic grabbed a double as Fiorentina climbed to second in Group I with a 2-0 win over Lech Poznan.

The 27-year-old scored the crucial opener just three minutes before the interval to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at the break. Ilicic then made the game safe with a second seven minutes from time.
