Coquelin, Rosicky back for Gunners

Balotelli trains with Brescia after signing for home town club

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed Francis Coquelin and Tomas Rosicky will both be available for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Burnley.

Coquelin, who has been out with a knee injury since November, has returned almost a month ahead of schedule while Tomas Rosicky is in line to make his first appearance of the campaign.

“Francis is available to play now because he has passed two weeks of full training. Tomas is also available for selection,” Wenger told Arsenal’s official website.

Unfortunately, Danny Welbeck will not be fit in time for the clash, but Wenger did reveal the striker is not far away from a return.

“Danny Welbeck is not completely ready but he is not far. He needs a game or two because he’s been out since last April. The Stoke [U21] game is too soon because he only had one session with the team, and that is too short.”

With Alexis Sanchez coming off the bench in last weekend’s defeat to Chelsea, the latest news leaves just Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla as the club’s remaining long-term absentees.

“Jack and Santi are progressing well but they are at least a few weeks away. But these two apart, it is just about competitiveness and match fitness,” Wenger concluded.
