Carlisle v Everton

Arteta confirms Mari interest after Mustafi injury in Arsenal win over Bournemouth

Everton will be hoping to avoid a potential banana skin when they travel to Carlisle United in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.

The Toffees head into the cup encounter following back-to-back defeats to Swansea and Manchester United, in the Premier League and League Cup semi-finals respectively.

Their most recent defeat has heaped even more pressure on under-fire manager Roberto Martinez, with the Merseyside outfit now winless in their last four outings and languishing in 12th place in the league standings.

Carlisle, meanwhile, defeated Yeovil Town on penalties to seal their place in the fourth round of England's oldest cup competition, although their form in League Two has been inconsistent at best. Keith Curle's side have picked up one win and three draws in their last five fixtures, a run of results that sees them sitting 11th in the league.

In team news, Everton will have to make do without the services of injured trio Muhamed Besic, Tyias Browning and Tony Hibbert.

Kevin Mirallas is nursing a knee injury and will undergo a late fitness test.
