Wozniacki is Denmark’s Olympic flag bearer

Who is the Bundesliga’s “Mr. 100%” from the penalty spot?

Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki will be the countries official flag bearer at the Rio Olympic Games on August 5.

The news was confirmed by the national sports confederation at City Hall.

“It’s a huge honour for me,” Wozniacki said. “The Olympics mean a lot to me and I have some fantastic memories from my previous participation.

“I enjoy being part of the Danish team and feeling that team spirit that I don’t experience during my everyday life.

“To carry the flag in Rio will be one of the highlights of my career and something I will never forget.”

In the London Olympics in 2012, Wozniacki reached the quarter-finals and in Beijing in 2008, she lost in the third round.
