Aprilia dealt Di Meglio blow

Aprilia test rider Mike di Meglio suffered a fractured elbow when he fell during the team’s shakedown of their new MotoGP bike.

The Italian manufacturer gave its new RS-GP machine its first laps during Wednesday’s private test at Aragon, with Di Meglio as one of the riders.

However, the Frenchman suffered what was described at a “heavy fall, a big high side” and had to undergo surgery on his right elbow the next day.

Meanwhile, riders Alvaro Bautista and Stefan Bradl will put the new Aprilia through its paces in Qatar later this month, before joining the rest of the roster for the final pre-season test on March 2-4.
