Leicester City attacking midfielder Riyad Mahrez insists the current league leaders aren’t feeling the pressure ahead of their clash with Arsenal on Sunday.

The Foxes are flying high in the Premier League standings, five points clear of Tottenham and Arsenal, who are tied on 48 points ahead of the weekend’s round of fixtures.

While Mahrez admits the Foxes aren’t used to their current lofty position, they are determined to make it last as long as possible.

“To be first is something special. Especially for Leicester, we’re not used to this,” Mahrez told Soccer Saturday’s Johnny Phillips.

“When you taste first place, if you then go and finish fourth you will be disappointed. But there’s no pressure, just positive pressure.”

Commenting on Leicester’s incredible form away from home this season, he added: “Home games are fantastic with our fans, but the away games are good because we’ve won a lot.

“Maybe we find more space in [away games] especially against the big teams because they have more of the ball.”

Mahrez has made 24 appearanes in the Premier League this season, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists.
