Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid.
Ronaldo’s comments come after mounting speculation that he may opt to bid the Santiago Bernabeu farewell at the end of the current season.
Paris Saint-Germain are considered to be the frontrunners to land the 31-year-old’s signature if he does decide to leave, while there has been talk that Ronaldo may consider a move to MLS.
However, Ronaldo has made it clear that he has no desire to leave Madrid, and remains committed to the club where he has achieved great success.
“I feel the support of the fans. When the people sing my name, I’m proud,” he told Madrid club sponsor Mahou.
“When you play for the biggest club in the world, you have pressure, although I’m used to it now. The size of the club makes people look at you differently, but the balance on a personal level has been positive since I came here. I’m very happy and I want to continue here.
“To be the best in Europe is the biggest dream and we did it two years ago. It was a unique moment for us and for the fans, but there have been other important ones. I could not be more proud of the time I’ve spent with Real Madrid.”
Ronaldo has been in top form this season and has scored 34 goals and notched up 11 assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.
