Oman, Korea DPR, Myanmar win WC qualifiers

In Tuesday's joint  2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers Oman, Korea DPR, Myanmar were all on the right side of the results.

Oman were comfortable 3-0 winners against India with all three goals coming in the second half at the Sultan Qaboos Sport Complex in Muscat.

The opening goal was scored by Ahmed Kano in the 55th minute before Abdul Aziz Al Muqbal got on the scoresheet in the 67th and 85th minutes to hand his side a comfortable win.

The win puts Oman top of Group D with 11 points followed by Iran in second place on eight points. India are bottom with no points after five games.

North Korea remain in control of the Group H after a 1-0 win over Yemen saw them move to 13 points, four points above second placed Uzbekistan on nine points.

The only goal was scored by Il-Gwan Jong in the 12th minute via a penalty. The loss for Yemen keeps them at the bottom of the group with no points from five games.

Myanmar came from a goal down to beat Laos 3-1 in their Group G match played at Suphachalasai Stadium in Bangkok.

The visitors opened the scoring through Khampheng Sayavutthi in the second minute; the equaliser came in the 13th minute through Suan Lam Mang and in the 32nd minute Kyaw Ko Ko gave his side the lead before Aung Thu got the winner in the 50th minute.

The win puts Myanmar in fourth place on the table with four points ahead of bottom-placed Laos on one point from five games. South Korea top the group with 12 points.    

Guwanç Abylow scored the only goal of the match in the 16th minute to give Turkmenistan the 1-0 over Guam at Ashgabat.

The win puts Turkmenistan third in Group D with seven points ahead of Guam on goal difference and one point away from group leaders Iran and Oman. 

A goal in each half gave Kyrgyzstan the 2-0 win against Bangladesh at Stadion im. Dolena Omurzakova.

The opening goal was scored by Vitaliy Lyuks in the 27th minute, with Ildar Amirovdoubling his side's advantage a minute from time.

The win moves Kyrgyzstan to third on the table with eight points, one behind second-placed Australia and two behind table-topping Jordan. Bangladesh are bottom of the standings with one point.
