Hong Kong beat Bhutan 1-0 in their Group C match in a joint 2018 World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup qualifier played at the Changlimithang National Stadium on Tuesday.

The visitors left it  late to get the winner when striker Chan Siu Ki scored his first goal in the qualifying campaign in the 89th minute.

The result puts Hong Kong in second spot with 10 points after five matches, five points behind group leaders Qatar who have 15 points.

In the next group fixtures on November 12, China face Bhutan and the Maldives play Hong Kong.
