Goals proved hard to come by in a series of tightly contested AFC Champions League West Zone encounters on Wednesday.
Bunyodkor (Uzbekistan) 0-0 Zobahan (Iran)
The spoils were shared in a goalless Group B draw between Bunyodkor and Zobahan.
The home side had several chances to take the lead in the second half, but Zobahan goalkeeper Mohammad Rashid Mazaheri pulled off a number of valuable saves to deny them.
The result sees Zobahan move into top spot in the group with five points, while Bunyodkor lie bottom with two points.
Al Ain (UAE) 1-0 Al Ahli (Saudi Arabia)
A single goal separated the sides in Dubai as Al Ain hung on for a 1-0 victory over Al Ahli.
Omar Abdulrahman was the hero for his side, scoring with a delightful free kick in the 71st minute to give the hosts their first win of the campaign.
El Jaish lead Group D by a six-point margin, with Al Ain, Al Ahli and Nasaf following on three points each.
El Jaish (Qatar) 1-0 Nasaf (Uzbekistan)
El Jaish of Qatar ensured they would claim a six-point lead at the top of Group D with a 1-0 victory over Uzbeki side Nasaf.
The decisive goal only arrived in the 87th minute, Uzbekistan international striker Rashidov the man scoring against his own countrymen after taking full advantage of a mistake from the Nasaf defence.
Nasaf join Al Ain and Al Ahli on three points in the group, while El Jaish are flying high on nine points.
Al Nassr (Saudi Arabia) 1-1 Lekhwiya (Qatar)
It was honours even between Al-Nassr and Lekhwiya in Riyadh in their Group B clash.
The visitors looked set to secure all three points after Alain Dioko put them ahead early in the second half, but all that changed when Ahmed Yasser was adjudged to have handled in the area three minutes from time.
Ibrahim Ghaleb stepped up to the spot and converted, followed by the final whistle shortly after.
The result leaves the Saudi side tied at the top of the group on five points, with Lekhwiya tied at the bottom on two.
