World number one Serena Williams will face Victoria Azarenka in the final of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.
Williams, who has won 23 of 24 matches at Indian Wells, beat Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4, 7-6 (1) in Saturday’s semi-final.
The victory sees Williams enter her 88th career final and she will face a player who she has a 17-3 win-loss record against.
“This year has been great. It feels so great to be supported,” said Williams, who returned to the event last year after a 14-year-absence.
“It’s been a great comeback here in Indian Wells. I’m excited about that.”
Azarenka, the 2012 champion, booked her spot in the final courtesy of a 7-6, 1-6, 6-2 win over Karolina Pliskova.
