Allegri: Still room for improvement

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri watched his team return to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over derby rivals Torino at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

Goals from Paul Pogba and Sami Khedira had Juve two goals up at halftime, with Andrea Belotti pulling one back from the penalty spot before Alvaro Morata bagged a second-half brace.

“The team played well today and deserved to win, but there’s still room for improvement in certain areas,” Allegri said after the match.

“Sometimes we choose to do the luxurious when in fact the match is not as easy as it may seem and we need to be better at controlling the ball in situations like these.”

The victory leaves Juve three points clear at the top of the Serie A standings with eight matches left to play.

The Bianconeri are on course for domestic success, and Allegri wants them to focus on bringing home the Scudetto once more after their midweek exit from the Champions League at the hands of Bayern.

“What happened in Munich needed to be put to one side and we had to show the strength to get up again like men and move on.”
