Kings lose full-back to broken hand

Marquez suffers big crash in MotoGP Australian GP FP1

Kings head coach Deon Davids has confirmed that full-back Malcolm Jaer will be sidelined for six weeks due to a broken hand.

Jaer sustained the injury in the Kings' 45-10 loss to the Lions in Port Elizabeth at the weekend.

In addition, lock Schalk Oelofse will also be out of action when the Kings take on the Jaguares in Buenos Aires on Saturday.

“Schalk Oelofse has also picked up a concussion during the game and will not be available for the tour to Argentina this weekend,” Davids told Sport24.

Davids confirmed that prop Sti Sithole and hooker Edgar Marutlulle, who missed the Lions clash with elbow and knee injuries respectively, were both returning to training this week.

"Both players are still being monitored and evaluated by the medical team," he added.
