Herrera wary of PSV threat

Kovacic salutes ‘club legend’ Lampard, reveals ‘quite intense’ training sessions under the former midfielder

Ander Herrera has warned his Manchester United team-mates not to PSV Eindhoven lightly when the two sides meet in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Red Devils travel to the Philips Stadion in midweek in their first game back in Europe's premier club competition.

Following their big win over Liverpool at the weekend, United are overwhelming favourites to open their Champions League campaign with a win.

Herrera, however, believes PSV will be a threat and has warned Louis van Gaal's men against complacency.

"We have to play away to PSV, the last Dutch champions, so it is not going to be easy," Herrera told MUTV.

"It's true they have lost their best player – he's with us now, it's Memphis [Depay] – but I think Dutch teams always try to play the ball and attack.

"They're offensive teams so we have to know that they are not going to wait for us. I think they are going to try to attack but we are ready.

"They can be similar to Club Brugge [in that respect] but we are Manchester United. We have to have the intention to be first in the group."
