Tampa Bay Lightning levelled their playoff series at 1-1 with a fine 4-1 win over the New York Islanders on Saturday night.

Tyler Johnson scored twice and Jonathan Drouin’s first NHL playoff goal gave Tampa Bay an easy victory in the Eastern Conference match up.

Johnson netted in the first and third period, Drouin also registered in the first period and Victor Hedman added one in the second period as the Lightning tied the second-round contest at 1-1.

Nikolay Kulemin scored a powerplay goal in the third period for the Islanders but they struggled to cope with a rampant Lightning.

The Pittsburgh Penguins also levelled their series at 1-1 with a 2-1 success over the Washington Capitals.

Eric Fehr scored the go-ahead goal for the Penguins after Carl Hagelin’s early opener had been cancelled out by the Capitals’ Marcus Johansson.
