Brazil international defender Thiago Silva believes the current Paris Saint-Germain squad is the best team he has ever played for and is dreaming of winning the Champions League.
The PSG captain revealed they are targeting the Champions League trophy after they made history last season by becoming the first side to win all four domestic trophies in French football.
"By winning four titles last season, we did something that no one had ever done before in France," he told L'Equipe.
"For the club, for the players, it was very important. But the main aim has always been the Champions League.
"I've been thinking a lot in the last while and I've realised that I still have dreams to fulfil.
"I want to leave PSG one day having won the Champions League. That's my biggest dream."
The centre-back was famously reluctant to join the Ligue 1 champions from AC Milan back in 2012, but said the team has changed a lot since then.
"It's true that it wasn't 100 per cent my choice when I arrived. I was in a state of mind that was saying, 'Go ahead, you'll see'.
"Today when I look at my team I say to myself, 'This is a great side'. There's so much quality that I think it's the best team that I've ever played in.
"For me, Barcelona are at the top. Behind them there's Bayern Munich and Real Madrid and after that Manchester City, Chelsea and us.
"This season we've got to show that we're worth even more. We've been knocked out in the quarter-finals three times – now we want to reach the semi-final or even the final," he concluded.
