Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is facing more time on the sidelines after travelling to New York for treatment on his heel injury.
The 25-year-old has had to watch from the sidelines as the Reds have struggled in his absence, with Bredndan Rodgers' men collecting just one point from a possible nine.
As things stand, surgery is not being considered as an option and Henderson will visit orthopaedic specialist Dr James Cozzarelli in a bid to speed up the recovery process.
Henderson notified the club's medical staff of the pain in his heel and foot prior to the clash with Bournemouth on 17 August, but ended up starting the match after receiving a pain injection.
However, he lasted just 52 minutes before being replaced by Germany internationa Emre Can.
