Juventus midfielder Hernanes is not well-known for his goal-scoring exploits and was understandably happy after bagging his first stike of the Serie A season on Saturday.
Overall it wasn't the best performance from the title winners as they laboured to an unimpressive 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Carpi at the Juventus Stadium, but Hernanes couldn't hide his joy at scoring his first goal in 15 appearances for the club this season.
"I'm delighted with the goal," the Brazilian told the Juventus website. "I told myself that I couldn't finish the season without scoring, even if finding the net is certainly not my only objective in matches. Today I got a bit lucky with how the ball went in and thankfully I was able to celebrate in my own special way."
Juventus have already won the Scudetto this season, despite still having to fixtures to play, but Hernanes is adamant they are not lacking in motivation as they have to keep their form up ahead of the Coppa Italia final at the end of the campaign.
"The boss is very good at reminding us of the objectives that lie before us," he added. "We'll keep working very hard as we've the final coming up on 21 May and we're all aware how important that is. The season's not over yet.
"Playing in a side with such a strong, physical midfield, I feel perfectly comfortable in a deeper position. I'm keen to stay here and make a success of that role in the long term."
