Marseille midfielder Lassana Diarra has taken to social media to rebuff claims he is set to meet with Paris Saint-Germain this week over a potential transfer.
The former Real Madrid and Portsmouth player's performances this season have been one of the few positives in a difficult campaign for Marseille and rumours of a potential move to Paris began to surface in January and are seemingly being reignited.
French television channel Canal Football Club caused a stir on Sunday when they published on Twitter that Diarra would meet PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi on Monday.
Uncharacteristically for a professional football player, the 31-year-old took to his own Twitter account to deny the claims posting, "Misinformation continues" before pledging to return to training on Monday with OM as normal.
However, he wasn't quite done and posted a couple of japes to suggest quite how ridiculous Canal Football Club's claims were.
"Exclusive scoop," he replied to the television channel. "Meeting with Barack Obama tomorrow," before continuing: "World scoop. Barack can't make it, Homer Simpson is coming by to drink an aperitif."
